By car

If you plan to drive through the Tarentaise Valley, please note that the Iseran Pass opens only in mid June.
Most direct route: take the A43 Maurienne Highway (at St. Jean de Maurienne) to Modane.
Before arriving at Modane, take the Haute Maurienne exit - Drive through Modane, then take the D 2006 to Bonneval.

A couple of tips:

For GPS users: be sure to enter the entire name of Bonneval Sur Arc since there are a number of towns named Bonneval in Savoy.

By train

The international train station at Modane is 45 km from Bonneval and 4 hrs by TGV from Paris.

By bus

In July and August.
The bus station is located at the SNCF train station exit.
The TRANSAVOIE company provides bus connections between Modane and Bonneval Sur Arc. Most of the major SNCF lines have a connection.

Buses for hikers
different shuttles provide service to hiking trail departure points, including Pont d'Oulietta, the Avérole Valley, Mont Cenis and Le plan du Lac.
