Bonneval sur Arc, the pearl of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise, is a classified village, twinned with Les Baux de Provence and labelled “Land of Alpinism”. It is a natural film set, a typical habitat made of stones and lauzes, a natural heritage of great beauty. It is also a life and culture of high mountains linked to the routes of passage from one valley to another, from one country to another. It is also here, from its glaciers to the eternal snows, that the Arc is born, the river that flows along the entire Maurienne valley.

pÔp! What is it?

⦁ It is an approach with a slightly offbeat tone that accompanies you, visitors, to discover the heritage of Haute Maurienne Vanoise and experience the past in the present.
⦁ And to illustrate it, we have set up a logo: “pÔp!” Short for: passé Ô présent.
An interjection that plays with the « Ô » (a nod to the Savoyard dialect) and makes fun of the homophones of the word passé to pay tribute to the unique history of our territory.
⦁ pÔp! It is finally different supports (physical and digital) and formats: a paper guide and a dedicated map1, a board game1, an address book and an updated calendar of events for each season that reveal our magnificent valley.
