At an altitude of 2,000 meters, the historic hamlet of l'Écot embodies all the authentic mountain charm and unspoiled beauty of days gone by. Following in the footsteps of the film *Belle and Sébastien*, the route takes you to the heart of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise.

Amid glistening icefalls, winter-frozen streams, and rocky landscapes, this hike offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a pristine and inspiring mountain landscape.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

• 1/ From the Tourist Office, head to the snow-covered area, then follow the groomed Route de l'Écot trail toward the Oratoire Saint-Landry. Be careful when crossing the trail.
  2/ 45 min - At the Oratoire, continue straight ahead on the same groomed trail as far as Pont Saint-Clair. Take time to visit the hamlet of l'Écot, then return to Pont Saint-Clair.
  3/ 1 hr 20 min - From this crossroads, turn around and take the same route back down to the Tourist Office.
  3/ 2 hr 45 min - Bonneval-sur-Arc Tourist Office.
