Off-piste skiing: accompanied outings in Bonneval sur Arc

Bonneval sur Arc is a resort renowned for its slopes that invite freeriding! Let yourself be tempted by unique gliding sensations, in a fabulous setting and with dreamlike snow.

Freeride resort!

As for freeriding, the possibilities are also endless. The resort is a real freeride gem. You often see big skis and ABS bags in the resort, signs that do not deceive. With the easterly weather patterns, Bonneval sur Arc regularly benefits from huge snowfalls. When the snowpack is stable, all you have to do is enjoy it while respecting the safety rules. The instructors are also there to accompany you and help you discover the best spots according to your desires and your level.

The resort offers so many freeride opportunities that it was chosen to host a stage of the Freeride World Tour Qualifier, a competition that brings together the best French and European freeriders. These riders come to trace lines and send big jumps on the resort. A spectacular competition!

Safety first

The mountains are a place of freedom and adventure. But before heading off-piste and away from secured trails, always be sure to follow the safety rules:

  • Verification of the quality of the snow cover with the resort's professionals, the weather report and the BERA (Avalanche Risk Assessment Bulletin).
  • Mandatory equipment: shovel, probe, avalanche transceiver
  • Be accompanied and notify at least one person of your itinerary

The easiest way is to call on the resort's professionals, instructors and guides who will accompany you in complete safety to enjoy the fresh snow and wide open spaces.

In the mountains, you must also know when to give up. It is sometimes tempting to set off on a virgin face, but if the safety conditions are not met, always play it safe and turn back or choose a less exposed slope.
