Restaurant at the Refuge du Carro

This high-altitude refuge welcomes you on foot or on skis for a stopover of one or more nights, or a simple lunch break. The wardens offer creative, home-cooked meals, and reservations are highly recommended.

Description

The highest refuge of Savoie. Ideal for acclimatization nights before going to do the Mont Blanc or the Grand Paradis. Except for the guarding, the refuge has a room permanently open in winter with 18 places.

Summits: Levanna occidentale 3593 m - Very good hiker from mid-July. Col du Carro 3122 m. The new lakes: Montet lake, 3h from the refuge and the lake of the sources of the Arc.

Permanent restoration: Mauriennais farcement, partially organic food, made in the respect of the tradition, entirely home-made.
