Located in the heart of the Vanoise National Park, in the hollow of the Prariond valley and upstream of the Malpasset gorges, this refuge allows hikers, mountaineers, and off-piste skiers to immerse themselves in a superb environment.

Description

The refuge was completely renovated in spring 2020.

During the guarded period: access to a picnic area is available.

The refuge is also guarded in the spring for ski touring.

Bivouac: capacity for 10 people or 10 tents.

In the heart of the Vanoise National Park, bivouacking is permitted in the summer period, only on dedicated sites in the immediate vicinity of the refuge, during the guarding period. You have to book your site in advance with the refuge.

Outside the guarding period, the refuge is open and provides: dormitory, blankets, heating and cooking facilities and dishes.

The refuge is managed sustainably (waste management, renewable photovoltaic energy and pico hydroelectric power station, etc.) and contributes to raising public awareness in terms of sustainable development and nature protection.
